In 12 days friends and family will descend upon our house like a biblical plague. Mira is turning 3. Here's a quick run down of Mira's last birthday party:

• step-mother-in-law-demon-bitch reluctantly comes to party and claims she didn't KNOW that she was invited. UMMM she was the entire reason that I bought invitations. Our friends can come just on word of mouth - sheesh what a bitch.
• Step-mother-in-law-demon-bitch does her best to pick a fight with everyone. She sits next to DH's step-sister-in-law and loudly complains about DH's brother's future wife.
• I ignore Step-mother-in-law-demon-bitch and come by like a waitress checking to see if she needs anything other than a swift kick in the ass.
• Step-mother-in-law-demon-bitch keeps nagging DH's brother. She then makes derogatory comments about DH, brother-in-law and sister-in-law's dead mother.
• Loud argument ensues
• End of party

If only we had Jerry Springer to mediate huh? In any event Mira's party will again prove to be interesting. It will be the first time in months anyone has seen our house and we will be under the microscope. Everyone gossips about what a mistake this house was for us. Sure it's stressful but it's not a mistake, it's an investment. I am looking to get several projects done in the next 12 days basically so I can lord it over the nay sayers and genuinely surprise our friends. Below is a list of what I'd like to get done. Take a guess at the number of projects we actually complete and leave your guess and a link to your homepage in the comments section. The person who guesses correctly or closest will have an entire post dedicated to gushing over their homepage or blog. In the event of a tie I will put the folks who tie into a randomizer and pick the winner that way.

1)sand and paint the girls beds (purple)

2) finish mural in girls room

3)tile around window and put up blinds in the girls room

4)new closet doors for girls room

5)move girls into new room

6) put up blinds in guest bedroom

7) hang pictures and framed artwork

8)prime and paint livingroom

9)prime and paint kitchen

10) prime and at LEAST put white paint on kitchen cabinets

11) paint mini murals on kitchen cabinets

12)paint base boards

13) finish removing crappy grout and regrout shower/tub enclosure

14) get back yard plugged with zoysia grass

15)general deep cleaning

16) bathe dogs

17) bake cupcakes

18) make progress on screened porch

19)reorganize laundry room

20) knock down popcorn texture on livingroom ceiling

21) paint ceiling

It's an aggressive list. I don't know how much we'll actually complete. Guess away and ill keep you posted on our progress.
