Doggy Delimmas

Our dog injured my child I dont know if she stuck her hand in his mouth or he fired off a warning nip Motherly instinct tells me - GET RID OF THE DOG I know he is loyal, sweet, and chases off weirdos but what happens if next time it's not a finger what if there is a next time? Could i live with myself? DH doesnt understand - i admit i did NOT see what happened but my child was bleeding - the wound is minor but it could have been so much worse Our dog is muscle muscle and more muscle he could have tore her finger off if he wanted to but didnt yet i think it was perhapse a warning nip I know my kid - she wont get the hint the first time I guess I have to be the bad guy and stand up for my kids I know you dont come between a man and his dog but damn it I dont think i can risk my kids like that I hope DH can forgive me
